Welka yesterday & today
Sir Luigi Cattaneo started up an iron lock company in the 40s,
which assumed the name of WELKA in 1955. In later years, with
the contribution of his sons Augusto, Giuseppe and Mario, the
Company evolved, perfecting and increasing its range of products.
In the early 90s Augusto and Mario passed away; the third generation
of Cattaneos took over the management and are still assisted today
by the great experience of Mr Giuseppe.
The Production
The production, which was entirely craftsmanship in the beginning,
has today become a leading industrial business. Precision and
safety are achieved by joining the most recent technology with
the care that only expert hands can dedicate. The range offers
an infinite variety of locks for the most disparate closing systems
and for all types of wooden, iron, aluminium and pvc door and
window frames. The undeniable quality of WELKA products has favoured
the Company’s success.
Safety, dependability & quality
Our purpose is to protect our customers. We create small locks
for great security”. This philosophy has led us to favour innovation
and high quality products and to design and build dependable systems.
We have always turned our dynamism to good advantage at the Company
and we make an effort to understand every new requirement. The
objective is to offer our buyers absolute guarantees.
The commercial network
From the original local market, the Company created and developed
a much wider sales network in the 80s. WELKA distribution, which
had already been consolidated for some time within the national
boundaries, can today rely on agents and exclusive distributors
everywhere, and the company’s worldwide commercial mosaic has
been highly tuned to all new market trends.
